Antique English Ironstone Wheat Pitcher by J & G Meakin, c1890

 Antique ironstone wheat motif pitcher in excellent condition. Produced by J & G Meakin, Hanley, England circa 1890.

The sides and handle are decorated with an ornate wheat head and berry design. There are no cracks, chips or crazing. The backstamp is strong and clear, reading "Ironstone China, J&G Meakin, Hanley, England" with the royal crest. 

There is a small dark green spot on the base. Otherwise no discolorations.

DIMENSIONS - 11.75" high by 8" long from handle to spout by 5" wide; weighs 3 lb. 13 oz.
