Antique Flow Blue 8” Coupe Soup Bowl - Melbourne by W.H. Grindley, c1900

Available is an antique ironstone soup bowl with cobalt flow blue decoration around the rim and hand painted gilt trim. The transfer pattern features latticed flowers framing floral bouquets around the rim, with a raised pattern underneath.

The backstamp is blurred, but pattern is identified as Melbourne by W.H. Grindley. Estimated production date between 1891-1914, although difficult to pinpoint exactly since the stamp is not clear.
