Antique Nautical Art Print - A Grand Time by Dana

A fabulous antique (pre-1900) print produced by D. Appleton & Co., it depicts a sailboat in the midst of ocean waves, fighting the wind and current.

It is printed on heavy thick paper that shows a significant amount of foxing and some tears and wear on the corners. The bottom margin is somewhat uneven, perhaps from the print being removed from a bound book. There is a small tear along the bottom margin.

The printing is done in a greyish-blue monochrome color. The artist's name, WPW, is printed above the image, and below is printed 'Photogravure Goupil & Co, D. Appleton & Co., New York, A Grand Time.' The back is blank.

DIMENSIONS - The image measures 12" x 7.25", with overall dimensions of 16.75" x 11.25".
