Antique Set of 4 "Bosphorus" Brown Transferware Ironstone Plates

Available is a a set of 4 antique ironstone plates. These would be a fabulous collection to display as a plate wall.

The pattern is "Bosphorus" by J. Marshall and Co, and production dates to between 1867-1895. The front design brown transfer ware shows an Eastern-inspired scene, with intricate floral trim. Back of the plate has an impressive back stamp, with the words "Bosphorus" and "J. Marshall" inside a curved ribbon next to an anchor.

All plates have some level of staining and crazing. One plate has a stable old hairline crack; see photos.

Sold as a set of 4, not individually.

DIMENSIONS - 9.5" diameter each; set weighs 4 lb. 2 oz.
