Vintage Floral Transferware 9" Ironstone Bowl - Johnson Brothers "Bird of Paradise"

This is a beautiful English ironstone transferware serving bowl in good vintage condition. The generous size makes it perfect for serving vegetables or other side dishes.

Johnson Brothers is a well-known English pottery company that has been producing pieces for decades. It is stamped on the bottom 'Johnson Brothers - Bird of Paradise.' This pattern was produced 1945-1965.

The design features a brown transferware design of a vase overflowing with floral sprays, fruit and vines, with a flying tropical bird hovering above. The edge has a raised rope pattern.

CONDITION - Please note there is a small stained CHIP on the underside of the rim.

DIMENSIONS - The bowl measures 9.25" diameter and is 2.75" high. It is the ideal size for serving vegetables or other side dishes.
