Vintage Original Framed Watercolor by T. Marion Heter, 1975 | Red Barn and Farming Prairie Artwork

 This excellent original watercolor is a beautiful portrayal of Kansas farmland and the classic barns that dot the countryside. It is the work of Thomas Marion Heter, a Kansas engineer who turned to painting after his retirement and died in 1977.

The painting is done in watercolor tones of red, green and blue. It portrays an aging barn with a water-filled yard, set against green fields and the expansive Kansas sky. It is signed 'Heter, '75, KWS' [Kansas Watercolor Society] in the bottom right hand corner.

It is professionally matted and framed, with a framing date of March 1981 on the back, and has a hanging wire in place. It is in excellent condition and ready to hang.

It is a beautiful addition to your collection of prairie-inspired artwork or to add a pop of color to your modern farmhouse decor.
