Antique Bronze Sculpture of Classical Woman by Edouard Henri Delesalle, c1850

Available is a bronze statue of a young woman, partially robed, gracefully holding castanets above her head. The base is engraved "Edr. Delesalle." Beautiful black patina with the original bronze color shining through. 

Edouard Henri Delesalle (1823-1851) was a French sculptor whose work drew upon classical themes and motifs. Because of his short lifespan, his work does not come up for public sale often.
