Antique Hinds & Co. Glass Blob Top Torpedo Bottle

Available is an antique "torpedo bottle" (named for its shape) produced by Hinds & Co, Coventry, England, in the late 19th century.

Torpedo bottles were invented for storing carbonated beverages. They were meant to be stored on their side, so that the cork did not try out and allow the carbonation to escape.

This bottle has an attractive design with large lettering, reading "Hinds & Co, Coventry" with an elephant symbol on the middle. Blob top opening. Excellent condition.
