Antique Pink and Blue Double X Quilt, c1900

Available is a beautiful, well-executed antique quilt in classic blue and pink fabrics. This is a lovely farmhouse quilt with some heft for colder months.

MATERIALS

The quilt is constructed in the Double X pattern, with a center red square surrounded with pieced triangles and squares in contrasting solid and printed cottons. Setting fabric is a double pink calico, with a double bar border in pink and white. Medium weight cotton batting. White backing. Hand quilted in white thread. Bound in matching double pink fabric.

CONDITION

Good antique condition. There are a few small holes in the front, with a few patches of fabric loss and exposed batting. Some color loss noted. It was washed recently by the previous owner. Please review all photos.

AGE

Exact age and maker unknown. Estimated c1900 based on fabrics and techniques used. Found in Kansas.
