Antique J & G Meakin Ironstone Platter

Available is an antique ironstone platter by J. & G. Meakin. Lovely thick heavy ironstone typical of the mid-19th century. Floral motif around the border with raised edges.

Small grey mark overlying manufacturing flaw on front. Some wear and discoloration to the back. Faint lettering seen on back where serial numbers were once written in permanent marker and not completely removed. Please review all photos.

Impressed maker stamp on back reads "J & G Meakin Ironstone 22". Estimated date of production between 1851-1891.

DIMENSIONS - 14" x 10"; weighs 2 lb. 13 oz.
