Vintage Blue and White Blazing Star Quilt, c1920s Crafting Textile, 83" x 73"

A classic blue and white combo makes up this Blazing Star quilt. Although there are some flaws in this quilt, that only makes it a great candidate for everyday use with your family or to repurpose in your next crafting project. There are some gorgeous hand quilted details to see!

MATERIALS

The quilt is made in the Blazing Star pattern in blue and white. The blue fabrics have a small white print on blue ground. The white is solid cotton. It is hand quilted in a range of feather wreaths and grids in white thread and is hand pieced. It is bound in white fabric and backed with white cotton. Lightweight cotton batting is visible in one hole (see Condition). It is hand pieced. 

CONDITION

Fair vintage condition. There is a nickel sized scorch hole in the front. Scattered light yellow stains on back and front remain after hand washing and air drying. 

AGE

Exact age unknown. Based on fabrics and quilting methods used, estimate date circa 1920.

SIZE

Measures 83" x 73" - a modern twin, or perfect size as an accent blanket.
