Vintage Blue and Gold Ceramic Art Deco Tureen | Egersunds Fayancefabriks Norway | Crazed White Serving Dish with Lid

This is a truly unusual piece with gorgeous design and a fascinating history. 

Egersunds Fayancefabriks was a ceramics company that operated for about 100 years in Norway, from the 1860s through 1960s. The design of this backstamp dates this piece to 1920s-1950s.

It has a simple and elegant design, with cobalt blue bands bordered with gilt along the rim edges and handles. There is slight wear to the gilt in some places and crazing throughout. Staining to the inside of the bowl.

DIMENSIONS - 11" long by 8" wide by 5.5" tall to knob on lid; weighs 2 lb. 14 oz.
