Vintage Blue and Pink Ohio Star 1930s Quilt

Available is a beautifully made Ohio Star quilt. The bright prints and fine hand quilting make it an excellent choice for an every day quilt.

MATERIALS

 Quilt is constructed in Ohio Star pattern, with blue sashing. Each star has a unique printed fabric in bright cutesy prints, plaids, and florals. They are set into white fabric. The sashing is bright cobalt blue, with corner blocks of a small floral blue and orange print.

The backing is solid deep pink. The quilt is bound front to back. Batting is lightweight and appears to be cotton. 

It is hand quilted at 7-8 stitches per inch with white thread. Patchwork has parallel line quilting, 1" apart, with fancy loop quilting in the sash.

CONDITION

Excellent vintage condition. There is an area of very light discoloration noted along top border. No other flaws noted. Washed recently by the previous owner and free of strong odors.

AGE

Estimated date of construction circa 1930. Maker unknown. Found in Kansas.

SIZE

Measures 83" x 67". Note it was photographed on a king size bed.
