Vintage Blue and Tan Earth Tones Dresden Plate Quilt, c1930

Vintage quilt in beautiful blue and tan earth tones in a classic pattern.

MATERIALS

The quilt is in the Dresden Plate Pattern, with scalloped edge floral patches set on white fabric with warm tan sashing and borders. Scalloped ice cream cone border. Beautiful range of warm, muted tones contrasting with blue printed fabrics. Hand quilted in white thread in diamond grid pattern. Dresden plates are machine appliqued. Lightweight cotton batting. Blue binding. Off-white muslin backing.

CONDITION

Good vintage condition. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried. Some light water stains remain on right side. Blue dye run visible on backing. Light fabric fading on a few red fabrics. Otherwise no major damage. Please review all photos.

AGE

Exact age unknown. Likely circa 1930 based on fabrics and batting used. Found in Kansas.

Measures 94" x 61".
