Vintage Dresden Plate Purple Quilt with Ice Cream Cone Border | Queen Size Quilt

This expertly handmade quilt is a stunning example of craftsmanship in a generous size to fit the modern bedroom.

MATERIALS

Quilt is in the classic Dresden Plate pattern, with setting blocks of purple, sashes of solid yellow bars and green blocks, and an ice cream cone border with feed sack fabrics. Binding is hand applied with green fabric. Backing is solid purple. Lightweight batting present. Hand quilted.

CONDITION

Excellent vintage condition. A few of the older fabrics have fabric thinning. A few scattered discolorations remain, noticeable on the backing. Suitable for daily use. It has been gently washed and air dried.

AGE

Exact age unknown. Likely made circa 1930s, based on fabrics and techniques used.

SIZE

Measures 106" x 84" - modern queen, or can be layered on a larger comforter if used on a larger bed. Note it was photographed on a king size bed.
