Vintage Green & Yellow Missouri Daisy Quilt, c1930

This lovely quilt is an explosion of spring color and expert piecing!

MATERIALS

The quilt is in the Missouri Daisy pattern, with yellow centers and tiny white petals set against pastel green printed eight-point stars. Each star is touching the next one, resulting in dense bouquet which remains cohesive because of the similar tones of green prints used throughout the quilt. White setting blocks each have small floral motifs quilted, while the yellow centers also have four-lobed wheels quilted inside. Hand bound with green fabric. White backing. Lightweight cotton batting.

CONDITION

Overall good vintage condition. Scattered storage stains; see photos. Minimal wear throughout. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried.

Exact date and maker unknown. Estimated date of construction c1930 due to fabrics used. Found in Kansas.
