Vintage Log Cabin Quilt TOP

Available is a vibrantly colored Log Cabin quilt top with lovely floral fabrics. This is a fantastic wall display piece to add character and color to your home.

MATERIALS

The quilt top is constructed in the Log Cabin pattern, with rows of patterned fabrics set with center blocks of bright solid red. Each block is foundation pieced on large backing squares, visible in the back. Hand pieced. Fabrics show a wide variety of solid and printed fabrics, with florals and ginghams dominating.

This is the unfinished quilt top only - there is no backing, batting or binding.

CONDITION

Good vintage condition. The chrome yellow fabric used for a few of the foundation blocks has significant dye bleed visible on front and back. Two rows near the top border have been repaired with bright blue solid cotton fabric, covering over rips and a hole that is visible in the backing. One hole in a gingham backing square noted. Please review all photos.

AGE

Exact age/maker unknown. Although a wide range of fabric dates is seen, estimated date of construction c1930. Found in Missouri.
