Vintage Orange and Blue Ocean Wave Quilt, c1930

Available is a vibrant vintage quilt in a much-desired pattern, with tiny triangle piecing and lovely scrappy colors.

MATERIALS 

The quilt is constructed in the Ocean Wave pattern, with a beautiful mix of late 19th century fabrics, indigo blues, chrome yellow, and 1930s dress prints. The triangles measure 1" x 1.25" and are hand pieced. The setting is a melon orange ground with tiny purple print. It has double bar line quilting across the entire quilt in white thread. Backing is white muslin, and it is bound back to front and hand finished. Lightweight cotton batting.

CONDITION

Very good vintage condition. Batting shows some shifting and thinning. It has been carefully hand washed and air dried.

AGE

Exact age unknown. Based on latest fabrics used, estimated date of construction c1930. Found in Kansas.
