Antique Blue & Red Crown of Thorns Quilt, c1900

Available is a graphic antique quilt with strong colors and a wide variety of early 20th century prints. 

MATERIALS

The quilt is in the Crown of Thorns pattern, with blue and black printed calicos set in white shirting fabrics, with chrome yellow overdye on red printed alternate blocks. Unusual serpentine or cloud print fabric on backing. Hand quilted in white thread. Medium weight cotton batting. Bound back to front.

CONDITION

Good antique condition. Binding wear noted throughout. Some fabrics have thinning with small amount of exposed batting. A few storage stains and small holes in the front. It has been gently soaked and air dried. Please review photos.

Exact age or maker unknown. Found in Kansas. Estimated date c1900 based on latest fabrics used.
