Vintage Pink and Blue Broken Dishes Quilt, c1930

Available is a lovely pink and blue quilt with a wide variety of calico prints sure to delight the textile enthusiast.

MATERIALS

The quilt is constructed in the Broken Dishes pattern, with large blocks of triangle pieces, set in solid pink fabric. The blocks have a wonderful variety of early indigo, black and white mourning, and Depression-era dress prints, making this a record of textile history. Hand quilted in white thread. Lightweight cotton batting. Binding is whipstitched, without traditional binding material. White backing.

CONDITION

Very good vintage condition. Light scattered storage stains. Washed recently by previous owner. Please review all photos.

Exact age and maker unknown. Estimated c1930 based on fabrics and techniques used. Found in Kansas.
